Execute Package Task in SSIS

Execute Process Task, quite similar to Execute Process Task executes an existing package in Integration Service Project. That is a child package can be assigned for execution from the parent package that contains the "Execute Process Task" control. Lets proceed to see how to configure and execute the same. 

1. Create an Integration Services Project in SQL Server Data Tools. Select the package and place an "Execute Package Task" control on "Control Flow" tab.

2. In general tab provide name and description for the task.

3. Select  Reference Type as Project Reference, so as to select an existing package within the project and execute. Choose an existing package to execute and set "ExecuteOutOfProcess" to false.

4. Click Ok button in above screen and execute the package5. It in turn activates the package4 as seen below:
